An exhibition of photographs “Maldives: Not Just Beaches” Ambassador Dnyaneshwar M Mulay is on display at the Art Gallery, Chanakyapuri in New Delhi until August 8, 2022.

The photos taken are from when Mulay was India’s High Commissioner to the Maldives. Seeing is believing and while visiting different places is still the best way to immerse yourself in the beauty or culture of this region, the next best alternative is through photography.

The photography exhibition ‘Maldives: Not Just Beaches’, curated by Ambassador Dnyaneshwar M Mulay, IFS (Retired) who served as India’s High Commissioner to the Maldives, offered the same. The photo exhibition opened on July 25 at Art Gallery, CSOI, Vinay Marg, Chanakya Puri, New Delhi, and will be on display until August 8, 2022. The exhibition is organized basically to showcase the works of art and creative photography by Mulay.

Photograph of Dnyaneshwar M. Mulay, IFS (Retired) who served as India’s High Commissioner to the Maldives between 2009-2013 and served as India’s elite foreign service diplomat (1983-2019). Mulay is currently a member of the NHRC. He had extensively explored the different aspects of many countries. He also has striking photographs taken when he was India’s High Commissioner to the Maldives on display for lovers of beauty, nature and culture.

The Maldives, paradise on earth, has other charms that go beyond sun, sand and beaches. My four-year stay in the Maldives gave my ‘mobile camera’ enough food for thought, Mulay said. The time in the Maldives also kept the amateur photographer in me alive and vibrant, Mulay added.

It is hoped that during this monsoon season, Delhi people, diplomats from various countries and Delhi personalities and bureaucrats will enjoy the photography exhibition.
