“Wellness of Bangladesh” photography exhibition underway at BUHS

In an effort to highlight the importance of Bangladesh’s health systems and healthy environment, the “Wellness of Bangladesh” photography exhibition is underway.

To present the real picture of ideal healthcare and provide good service at the doorstep of ordinary people, the event was organized through a joint collaboration of SIDRA Bangladesh and Bangladesh University of Health Sciences (BUHS ).

The three-day exhibition started yesterday and will run until tomorrow (December 4) at Darus Salam, Mirpur campus of BUHS.

Entrants are divided into two categories, mobile photography and digital photography.

The SIDRA Foundation, which is a non-profit and non-governmental organization run by young people, works with research on health education and environmental development, taking initiatives for innovative activities.

The “Wellness of Bangladesh” competition and exhibition tries to highlight the hard work of health workers in rural and urban areas.

The judges of the competition are the famous photographer and artist Faridi Numan, the young photographer Zubayer Bin Iqbal, Al Amin Leon, photojournalist, Amader Somoy and Mamunur Rashid, photojournalist, Daily Samakal.

UNDP is the strategic partner of this event, while Human Aid Bangladesh Foundation and Utshorgo Foundation Bangladesh are the associate organizers.

Various photography clubs from universities and youth-led organizations are spreading information about the exhibition as supporting partners.

The exhibition open to all will end tomorrow with several workshops, cultural performances and an award ceremony.

Six winners will receive crests and certificates along with other gifts from both categories. Meanwhile, three winners will be announced in the general categories.

The organizers further plan to exhibit the selected photographs in an open space inside and outside Dhaka to raise awareness about health and hygiene, environmental protection and spark ideas. stimulating.
